Yanni Marmarou oversees retail leasing, investment sales and raising capital for the firm's roster of clients. He has represented a number of successful hospitality groups in acquiring key locations in the New York Metro Area.
In 2012, Yanni exclusively represented the highly-acclaimed Piora restaurant at 430 Hudson Street, who was awarded a highly coveted Michelin Star.
Subsequently after leasing the property, he sold the mixed-use building on behalf of the landlord for one of the highest price per square foot sales in the West Village market in 2013.
In 2013 he assisted IndiKitch (www.indikitch.com) in acquiring their flagship location next to Eataly in the Flatiron District, at 25 West 23rd Street. He currently continues to assist them on their national roll-out.
He was responsible in 2014 for assisting “The Up and Up”, a high-end mixology cocktail lounge, in acquiring their location at 116 MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village. The bar was recently nominated by Esquire Magazine as one of the best bars in America for 2015.
He recently represented Mirage Kitchen, a fast-casual Mediterranean concept, in acquiring their flagship location at 455 Park Avenue South, and continues to assist them in acquiring sites in Manhattan.
Yanni’s landlord work has included the leasing of space in Coney Island to Applebee’s, various spaces in the NoMad market and has also represented the Kushner Companies in the leasing of their retail portfolio in Manhattan.
He spent three years at RKF as an associate and prior to that, six years as a Real Estate Underwriter/ Analyst with The Value Research Group, Joseph Blake & Associates, and Holiday Fenoglio Fowler.
In addition to helping other groups establish their hospitality brands, Yanni was also one of the founding members of Rogue & Canon, a mixology bar & restaurant located at 128 W. Houston Street in Manhattan's Greenwich Village.
Yanni earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Planning from Rutgers University graduating with High Honors and also earned a Graduate Certificate from New York University’s Real Estate Institute.
He is a licensed broker in the states of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
